Great news, we have put up the first version for public use on the Apple App Store!
Please try it out and let us know what you think.
This is the start of an ongoing journey to make Allow2 everything we need it to be.

I just downloaded your app to my iPhone in order to manage my two children’s iPads. I have added their email accounts, but don’t see how to add their device. Please help.
Thanks for trying Allow2 Robin.
It actually doesn’t quite work that way. We are a new library release and although we want to get to the point where Apple, Samsung, Panasonic and others adopt the platform, that hasn’t quite happened yet.
What we can do on iPad so far is provide a time-limited browser. To use it you need to set the parental controls for the iPad to disable the safari (Apple’s own) web browser and then download and install “Allow2Surf” (http://www.appstore/allow2surf) and pair that program to the Allow2 Service by entering your account details when you first run it.
We have time limiters in development now for home routers, mac and windows pcs and various other devices and software currently.
Over time we are aiming to have the bigger manufacturers incorporate it directly in their products to allow much more fine-grain control for families around the world.
Thanks again for your interest and please feel free to send in any suggestions or improvements to help us make it the best it can be.
I’m also having trouble figuring out how to add a device…I don’t get it.
Thanks for your interest in Allow2.
At the moment, the only “device” that uses Allow2 is the iPhone, iPod and iPad app called “Allow2 Surf”, which is a time-limited browser.
To add it as a device, download the app, and then put in your login details in the app to “pair” it to your account. Then it will adopt all the restrictions on time you have set up.
We are releasing an android version shortly, as well as software to control times on Mac, Windows and internet routers. We are also in early conversation with DVD and games/electronics manufacturers to get them on board.
Thanks again for your interest in Allow2, let us know if there is any particular device you would like controlled and we will talk to the manufacturer.
My daughter just got an iPod touch which I would like to restrict the amount of time she’s using apps, surfing the web when on wi-if, etc. and this sounds like exactly what I’m looking for. Whose device do I install it? Mine or hers? Or do I create an account & install the app on just hers? How do I get requests from her? Oh. I have iPhone 4 and she got (not my idea) a 16gb iPod touch for her birthday from a family member. We both have iOS 6.1.3
Thank you.
Hi Heather,
Allow2 is quite new and at the moment it can assist with time on browser, but not yet on games and other apps.
We have Windows and OSX (Mac) time limiters and a router internet limiter all close to completion for release shortly. We are also working on the Android apps for release after that.
So for now, you would need to load allow2surf browser on your daughter’s iPod, and set the iPod restrictions to remove safari and the app store so no other browsers can be installed.
Then load the “allow2” app on your iphone to allow you to control time limits and set special days, etc.
You create an account for yourself, then log in to allow2 on your phone as your account. You also use your account to “pair” allow2surf on the iPod.
You can set up a child account for your daughter, or if she has an email account you can invite her. The difference is, if you invite your daughter, she can also put allow2 on the iPod and use it to check her remaining time, bans and make requests.
I hope that helps you get started. Please feel free to stay in touch and ask for other features or report any issues directly so we can improve as we go forward.
I just added your app created a free account but have yet to receive the registration email so I can login to my account
Sorry for the delay Ashley. VERY big changes coming with version 2.0 and huge release, so some features are not quite working on the site at the moment while we switch over.
Thanks for your patience!
